Luke Cobley (my g grandfather) was born Mynyddislwyn 1830. In 1861 he lived in Bedwas upper and was employed as a coal miner. Luke died 13 May 1907 at 76 years of age.
Luke married Mary Perrott on 17th November 1851. Mary was born in Gelligaer, Glamorgan abt. 1828, she died aged 67 on 26 Dec 1895 and was buried in Tabor Chapel, Maesycwmmer.
Luke and Mary had the following children:-
Joseph Cobley born June 1859.
John Cobley born July 1862. John died 25 June 1863 before his first birthday and was buried in Tabor Chapel, Maesycwmmer.
Margaret Cobley born Maesycwmmer, Bedwas June 1864.
William Cobley (my grandfather) born June 1867.
Thomas Cobley born Mar 1870. Thomas died 22 Dec 1870 at less than one year of age and was buried in Tabor Chapel, Maesycwmmer.
