Extremely rare if not unique Artificial Damascus bladed presentation 2nd model RLB officers dagger by Ernst Erich Witte, complete with near mint hangers. Makers mark raised from the beautiful blade. This piece came from the family of the owner in Germany and is complete with a period studio photo of the item in wear.

The raised signature (as yet unidentified) which appears on the obverse of the blade. Clearly the gift of a high ranking RLB officer to a subordinate Another view of the obverse blade dedication to include the art deco crossguard.

Reverse blade features the strikingly beautiful ''Treue Kameradschaft'' dedication raised from the artificial damascus. A most unusual and original variation to one of the era's most attractive daggers, shortly to be featured in LTC Tom Johnsons latest dagger reference.

Another view of the outstanding blade, less labour intensive or skilful to manufacture than true damascus, but surely a lasting tribute to the solingen artisans craft.
