Painted late Summer 2003 at the end of warm calm day. The stones mark the edge of the golf course boundary and have been there a long time. They are very like the stones at the nearby ancient burial mound and I suspect they have a similar history. I am looking out towards Round Island lighthouse to the right of Tresco. The quiet is only disturbed by the odd dog walker and one of our local plump thrushes after my biscuits.
