"I painted this on afternoons during a windy spell in March 2008 on Peninnis Head. I was attracted by the sinuous thick ivy roots growing on the granite wall. Fortunately the wall sheltered me from the worst of the northerly gales and squalls. The skies looking over St Agnes, Bishop Rock Lighthouse and The Western Isles were spectacular."
