Oyster Catchers and Pebbles (Porthloo Beach) Isles of Scilly

Painted on Porthloo Beach on a late afternoon/ evening in May 2008. You have to look hard to see the oyster catchers. They are just at the waters edge where they like to feed. However it was the light on the pebbles and sea that attracted me. As I was on the beach there is also some sand and shells worked into the painting in the foreground. The original went to Italy.
