"I froze to the bone doing this painting in January 2008. But the light and sky were fantastic. Pendrathen Bay is one of my favourite places on the Islands. There is always plenty of bird life, like the aptly named Turnstones shown here. Look too for the line of Oystercatchers in the middle distance. On the horizon, against the threatening dark sky of an approaching squall, is St Martins with its red and white Daymark."
