This was painted on a sunny calm afternoon on Porthmellon bank in the late Summer of 2007. It shows the harbour busy with yachts and the Scillonian III is just about to leave on her return journey to Penzance. The agapanthus in the foreground were planted by a local Scillonian gentleman who lives in the cottages behind where I sat. The bright orange montbretia found its own way there.
