This was painted in the Summer of 2006.
It was a sunny blustery afternoon in front of the gig sheds on Porthcressa beach. As I returned on the final day of painting I noticed the doors were open and the sheds empty.
I thought no more about it, but after a couple of hours the gigs came back full of the Newquay and Scilly ladies teams. They proceeded to have a little end of weekend party. The tide was coming in and on the rapidly diminishing beach it got a bit crowded!
