"I painted here in the early Summer of 2008. The Abbey Gardens have so much variety and colour. I was in the upper west part of the gardens, looking south west towards Samson. The light was at its best here in the afternoon. I wanted to stay later, when I think the light may have been even better. Unfortunately the Gardens close at 4pm and I also had to catch the boat home!
