I really enjoy a good, sensible display of fireworks...the more noise and colour, the better! But unfortunately, I am not alone and some people can't seem to grasp the idea of time and place! My BIG fear is that these selfish idiots are going to cause the Westminster Wassocks to make it so bloody awkward for Joe/Josephine Public to get hold of decent pyrotechnics, we will lose the spirit of small community and family bonfires altogether. Anyway...Rant mode "OFF" now. Every year for the last 10 years or so I have helped with and organized the fireworks at Kirkby Malham village bonfire (and will continue to do so as long as I am allowed bearing in mind the above).

A few years ago (2002) Peter Sharp from Malham took some amazing photos of me and my pyromaniac crew in action. There had been heavy rain a couple of days prior to the bonfire so there were some big puddles just beside us which gave some superb reflections.
