In the past the Association has actively campaigned for traffic calming initiatives to reduce speeding through the village, reduction in vandalism by the provision of security cameras at the library and actively supported the introduction of community policing. A committee is elected annually , and the committee holds regular meetings to ensure that any proposals or plans affecting Goff's Oak do not go unchallenged because of lack of awareness, consultation or debate. The Association also supports local activities such as the Fete and Carnival, and holds regular meetings with the police and Broxbourne Council to raise issues of local concern. The Association also publishes and distributes "The Goffs Oak Gazette" which provides information and articles of interest to the local community |
