Christ Church, Netherley is the local Church of England church for the Netherley and Woodlands estates. The vicar of Christ Church is the Revd. Mark Norris. Sunday services & other worship There is a service at 10.30am every Sunday morning at Christ Church. There are activities for people of all ages during our services. We are an informal and friendly church and you can be sure of a warm welcome!
once a quarter, there is an evening team celebration service in ONE of our team churches: either Christ Church (Netherley), St. Stephen’s (Gateacre) or St. Mark’s (Childwall Valley). Please contact us to find out where services are being held this month.
Christ Church also holds a Prayer and Praise evening at 7.30pm on the first Wednesday of each month, when we pray for issues facing the local area and the world.
Weekly Prayer meetings are held on Sundays 9.45am-10am, and on Mondays 1pm-1.30pm in the Centre. You are welcome to join us.
small groups There are a number of small groups which meet weekly or fortnightly. Some meet in homes, others in the church building. These informal groups give you the opportunity to get to know other church members better, to learn from the Bible together, and to support one another in prayer and friendship. Contact us to see where and when your nearest small group meets.

christenings, weddings, etc. at Christ Church If you live in Netherley or Woodlands, you are entitled to get married or have your child christened at Christ Church. The vicar, Mark, is happy to talk to you about the possibilities and will explain what is involved, and what it’s all about. Just get in touch.
Christ Church has some of the best grounds of any of the local churches for photographs after your family occasion.
other local churches Christ Church is part of the Gateacre Team of churches, which includes St. Stephen’s, Gateacre and St. Mark’s, Childwall Valley.
We are also seeking to support and complement the work of the Woodlands Christian Revival Centre and St. Gregory’s Roman Catholic church in the area.
Through the Valley Council of Churches, we also have links with St. Cyril’s, Naylorsfield (RC) and Our Lady’s, Belle Vale (RC), as well as the Salvation Army (Childwall Valley).
