Peter Goodfellow is originally from Australia and currently based in Scotland, UK. He studied at the Newark School of Violinmaking graduating in 1999 with an upper merit.

The inspiration for his work is taken from the Classical Cremonese and Venetian School of Violinmaking combined with modern concepts and interpretation. He is interested in classical design, acoustics and exploring the possibilities of modern technology to better understand the violin.

He has organised violinmaking events to promote the exchange of knowledge amongst makers to further develop the craft and is a regular participant in the VSA Oberlin Violinmaking program in America.
