Where else ? - yes of course ! I think most pupils were taken to Hull docks and William Wilberforces' House at some time whilst at Graham SeaTraining, some more than once, myself included - but it alway seemed to be the same story,at least for us when we got back from most trips - we were a disgrace to the school - would never be taken anywhere again etc, etc. Our crime on this Hull trip? One of the dockers asked if we liked oranges - well of course we said yes, the next thing we know he picks a crate up and lifts it above his head then smashes it hard down on the floor, saying as it landed "share those, this box is damaged!" Imagine there must have been 200 oranges rolling all over the floor and thirty odd lads chasing them in all directions , even old Jack Rippon was in the ruck too! I can't for the life of me remember who the other teachers were on the trip but it was decided we couldn't keep them (er the oranges not the teachers !),however let's just say the smell of oranges on the return to trip to Scarborough on the coach was overpowering! even Jack Rippon was observed devouring several on the way home!
