Some of the photographs that I took at the games.  Also, some of my thoughts on the whole thing.

I went along with a friend and because she had never seen it before we stayed for the whole afternoon, so I am only commenting on this part of the games.  I don't normally stay that long and had not really sat and watched the events for very long in the past, but this time I watched until the Tossing the Caber was on (about 5pm).  I found all of the events interesting (if somewhat dangerous as I saw a Hammer go wild and so did one of the weights) and especially  the Tug of War, which was brilliant, I also enjoyed the "heavy" events.  I do feel that for safety sake the venue should either be moved or should also make use of the fields next to the site to provide more room for things to go wrong safely

I hadn't had lunch and went in hunt of a suitable venue.  I fancied a burger and chips which was just as well as that was pretty much it for fast food.  I was really disappointed to find that they were only "fast food", there were no stalls offering Scottish Beef, hand-made burgers or Venison Burgers or anything!  It was just cheap fast food, not nice, most of mine went in the bin.

On the whole I enjoyed the afternoon but don't think I would go back unless I knew there was going to be decent fast food and more room.

These are my personal views.

Grandma

I think this was the hop, skip and jump but might have been long jump

Piping competition

I liked this because of the big drum.

I think this is all of the pipe bands marching together.
