people to breed the whites ,the whites were born in the UK many years ago around the early 1960s by ANGELA CAZENOVE oF KNIGHTSBRIDGE LONDON .there was other breeders that had white pups born but seeing how that all those years ago most of the breeders were in the kennel clubs it was not the done thing to keep these white pups alive as it did not fit the norm as far as the clubs were concerned,so nearly all the whites were culled , or being really blunt was drowned in a bucket of water,but for MISS ANGELA CAZENOVE  who kept the white pup because she liked the color,she kept this white dobe for 10+ years till it died of old age really ,MISS CAZENOVE was  a refugee from POLAND and came to UK and bred dogs for the UK government ,we found out about her through a old man in our village who knew her as he was in the veterinary coupe of the army ,and he had to visit MISS CAZENOVE many times a year to not only check over her dogs but to collect some dogs for the  UK army .</div> <div> At the side you will see a cutting about MISS CAZENOVE so feel free to  find out what you can about her </div> <div> There was also two female  white pup born in WALES , these pups were not Isabella not fawn but white and fawn ,we heard of these back in 1989 from a truck driver who knew the people that bred them Dobermans,</div> <div>  the breeder gave these pups  away to a friend because of the color .</div> <div> if it was not for his wife this breeder would have drowned the poor little things it was only her that kept them from their grave ,of cause they are no longer with us one female was 10 years old when she died and the other was 9 1/2 years both had a heart problem</div> <bR> <div> even today some breeders cull the whites or any other color that is not the normal color</div> <div> This was and still is done by breeders because the kennel club does not recognize the color white </div> <div> Now there are several white Dobermans over here in the UK that have been imported from USA ,we have seen these dogs ,and in our view are not very good specimens of the Doberman breed full stop .as they squint badly when in sunlight ,they have bad skin and  the hair was not the best either ,they looked more like great Dane than a pedigree Doberman and we could not say they were white the only white that was on them was where you would find the tan on a black and tan dobe the rest of the color was a dark tan more like a Labrador color..</div> <div> .we are not saying that all the whites are bad specimens far from it as we have not seen them all ,but we are saying that they do have one or two problems but we think in time could be sorted by the right breeding ,which we shall not be holding our breath </div> <div>  A lot of the American and UK  breeders of today seem to be hell bent on the mighty $$$$,and this is not just a white issue its all colors is the $$$ or the ££££ more important than the health and well being of the Doberman????? it appears so .</div> <div>  in our view  none of the breeders  are doing the breed any good at all by all the inbreeding and linebreeding which goes on today ,does not matter what name you call it it goes on .</div> <div> its like Vwd  until breeders started to import  dogs from other countries like USA  we did not have this Vwd at all its only  now its showing its ugly head on unsuspecting buyers of pups that will end up with high vet bills due to breeders not telling owners about this problem or selling the pups a little cheaper and still not telling the owners what can happen if there pup ends up with Vwd ,have heard of quite a few breeders doing that of late ,and also some of our well known breeders have sold Doberman pups cheaper all because they have a patch of white on the pups chest ,now how silly is that it does not make that pup a bad pup or even a unhealthy pup all it means is that one will not be allowed to show it in a ring .so what not everyone wants to prance about a ring showing off their dog,if people want to do this then that's fine but its not for us,everyone to their own  </div> <div> We do not agree with all this ear cropping either ,we know that the folks in USA do but we think its cruel and its only done for vanity the same as docking the dobes tails you hear of breeders having the dogs ears and tail done knowing that the pup has Vwd still goes ahead and have this operation done and then the pup dies,another bad practice is docking tail by elastic bands just like the farmers do the sheep's tails its done here in UK but in USA they do it more than we do. would really love to get round some of their body parts to let them feel just how painful and distressing this practice is </div> <div> ,we have seen some of the dobes in USA being made to wear spiked collars ,now this is really barbaric if one has to use such a thing to control their animal then  they should think twice about keeping any animal ,and we would really like to place one of
