To get to the capital of Nicaragua, Managua, usually involves a stopover in the USA either in Miami or Houston. Many airlines serve Managua including Iberia, Continental, Taca and American. Upon arrival at the international airport, the Best Western hotel is conveniently located across the Pan American highway opposite the airport. |

The flights to Bluefields on the Atlantic coast, which is the nearest town to Vincent Cay, are served by the airlines La Costena and Atlantic. They can be found at the international airport. A return ticket cost around $80 per person. |

Bluefields is a typical ramshackle Caribbean town situated on the coast. It has a lively mix of Creole and Miskito people. On arrival at the airport a short taxi ride will take you through the town and enable you to buy any food that you require at the markets. | |
