The Vale of Evesham, situated close to the Cotswolds, on the banks of Shakespeare's River Avon, and a stone’s throw away from Malvern, Cheltenham, Worcester, Warwick and Stratford-on-Avon is an ideal centre.  It has excellent rail and road links to Birmingham and the Midlands.

Evesham is a thriving market town and is still the centre for high quality fruit and vegetables, not to mention Victoria plums and the world-famous asparagus. 

If you fancy a bite to eat, the town can satisfy your appetite, with a great selection including good British cooking with excellent Asian, Indian and Chinese restaurants not to mention the variety of public houses offering excellent hospitality.

The centre of attraction is the River Avon which flows around the town and offers newly refurbished facilities on the river banks particularly pleasant under the new lights on a balmy summer evening.

During the summer months the meadows are packed with visitors enjoying the fishing, rowing and boat hire. There is nothing better than a trip down river on a sunny day!

There are many and varied events filling the Evesham’s calendar during the year. The River Festival brings thousands of people to the river in July where up to 100 boats are gathered. The illuminated boat parade finishing with a spectacular firework display, are not to be missed.

The Eastern Festival in June is becoming another permanent event together with the Angling Festival in August which is not just for fishermen as the rest of the family can visit Evesham's interesting and individual shops situated in the High Street and Bridge Street. 

Port Street on the other side of the river offers a further selection of unusual shops.

The Vale of Evesham is surrounded by numerous picturesque villages with charming pubs and stop-offs for a country lunch or evening meal.
