Non-UK based websites of interest:

The main website, with coverage of the product range for Europe, plus company details, the press service (useful for up-to-date news of the company and new products), and contacts for service, information and sales, including brochures. Also has links to national Grundig websites, (in German, French, etc.) plus a searchable .pdf instruction book service.

The American/Canadian website, detailing only the radio range. Website is owned and operated by Eton/Lextronix, (this link redirects to Etoncorp anyway) the US distributor/licenced name owner for Grundig in the US. Of all the products listed, only 2 are genuine Grundigs, the YB400 now renamed G4000, & the G2000 "Porsche". The rest are a combination of Lextronix commisioned designs badged as Grundigs, or just re-badged products. There are also Eton products featured on the site. The site seems to be undergoing constant upgrades lately, so best thing is, go take a look. One recent update included the addition of some on-line manuals, specs, and tech support documents. Click here to go to my manuals page for further details.

The Australian website, completely updated to the "corporate image" on Jan 1st, 2001.

Christoph Lorenz's website includes the new memofile programmer, which is a free download, and the hardware options are linked from there too, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! See here on my site for more info. Also includes a library of memofiles, which you can download and load onto chips for your Satellit 700. You can also UPLOAD your chip contents for the benefit of other people, so PLEASE DO!! Christoph has also included a detailed page about fitting LED's to replace the bulbs in your Satellit 700, (Amber in the example) details are in German, but there are lots of photo's so maybe if you are "technically capable" you can fill in the gaps. See it here.

Radio-Antik.de is a useful source of discontinued Grundig and other audio items accessories.

Rainer Friedrich has some lovely Satellit and other models for sale, and he's a nice guy to boot.

The superb website about the Grundig Satellit 700 by Thomas Baier. Also includes photo's of the prototype of the Satellit 900, with one of the best photo's on the web, from a  visit to Grundig HQ in spring 2000, (They got the Satellit 900 out of the cupboard for him!) This site is well worth a visit. He is, of course, the author of "Grundig Satellit - Alle modelle in Wort und Bild" in German, and the English language equivalent, "Grundig Satellit - All models in Word and Pictures" plus "The Great Grundig Satellit 700" and "King of the Satellits - Six Five O" and their German equivalents.

A benchmark site for radio enthusiasts, go take a look! Includes a good review of the Satellit 700 (which I agree with, mostly!) and was a source of useful info about the Eton E1 for my comparison with the Satellit 900.

Chris Mackerell in New Zealand has a site about radio, and importantly to us, it included a few details about his Satellit 1000 and C410, and even more usefully, the circuit diagrams and alignment schemes.

OK, so it's not a Grundig related site, but if you have a Sangean 909, Radio Shack 398, or one of the other clones (Roberts for example) visit http://www.ats909programer.com - the work of Tomas Ramirez, there you will find out how to interface your radio with a PC. This will allow you to save memories to and from your radio! Visit them now to find out more!

A search engine just for radio related subjects.

is a great piece of software that allows you to make timer recordings on your PC, it's cheap, simple to install and use, and you can set the record quality parameters to suit your intentions and available disc space. With a radio such as a Grundig Satellit 500 or 700 or Yacht Boy 500, with 2 timers that control the station tuned to, you can record 3 programs in your absence, one using a manually tuned station, and two more using the radio's own timers.
