Haddenham Airfield

The First Sixty Years

A short and basic history of one of England's most interesting small airfields.

Originally known as Aylesbury Airport it became RAF Thame, and is now known as Aylesbury/Thame or locally as Haddenham Airfield.

Situated on the Bucks/Oxon border, all that is left is a narrow grass strip used by the Upward Bound Trust to teach young people to fly gliders.

It wasn't always that way ...........
