Family Settlements. - Lease for a year 29 July 1730
Property: the capital messuage at Sedgebrook in the occupation of Mary Turney and John her son.

Grant, release and confirmation for the barring of the entail. THOR/2/4/7/ date 28th April 1757
After the death of Sir John, the lands in Sedgebrook, Casthorpe & Barrowby in the occupations of Mary and John Turney and George Annis at the yearly rents of 499.14s. to the use of Dame Elizabeth Thorold, wife of Sir John Thorold, in augmentation of her marriage settlement.

In the Parish Registers is listed :- Mary Turney a widow buried 10 Jan 1768 aged 88 years. Phillimore in his Preliminary Report on the Pedigree of Sir John Turney of Nottingham states this is the wife of William Turney whose will was proved at Lincoln in 1730.
