Until 2003 there was no specialist club within GCCF to promote the interests of the Oriental Shaded, Tabby and Smoke, both Short Hair & Long Hair and following many months of discussions amongst breeders the Oriental Shaded Smoke & Tabby Society was formed in March 2003: it was granted affiliation to the GCCF in February 2007.

The Society takes a keen interest in all the patterned and non-self Orientals and promotes the varieties in whatever way it can.

In May 2007 and again in 2008 the Society staged an Exhibition of Oriental Shaded, Smokes & Tabbies and Oriental Longhairs in Alcester, Warwickshire. In 2009 the OSSTS held it's first show.

If you can give a loving home to an Oriental who, through no fault of it's own, has become homeless, please visit our 'Homes Wanted' page.
