Judge Lists

The rules for the appointment of all GCCF judges are
to be found in the "Philosophy and Principles of the GCCF Judge Appointment
Scheme, Rules of Procedure for the Selection of Judges".
All Judges
of Orientals are appointed by the GCCF on the recommendation of the Oriental
Joint Breed Advisory Committee.

In the Oriental section there are four recognised
'breed groups' each with it's own Judge List. The four Judge Lists are :
Oriental Self
Oriental
Non Self
Oriental Longhair
Oriental
Bicolour
Judges are appointed to each list
seperately and individual Judges may be on one, more or all the Judge
Lists. There are currently 37 judges on one or more of the Oriental Judge
Lists, this includes 15 who are Full Judges of all Oriental
Varieties.
Open classes for each variety must be
judged by a Full Judge (Adult, Neuter & Kitten classes) or a
Probationer Judge (Kitten classes only) who is on the Judge List for that
Variety.
NB. In order to judge Open classes (including Grand, Imperial
and Assessment) Judges from Overseas must be recognised by their own
countries registration body to judge all varieties, patterns and
colours which are eligible for entry in that class. For example if an overseas
registration body does not recognise 'caramel' colour or 'shaded' pattern then
it's judges cannot judge any open class that may include
them.
Miscellaneous and Club classes specifically for
'Orientals' must be judged by a Full or a Probationer Judge provided he
or she is on one more of the Oriental Judges Lists.
Miscellaneous
and Club classes including Orientals with other breeds(viz 'AV SH
Cat'; 'AC Oriental or Siamese Kitten'; 'AV Tabby Neuter')
must be judged by a Full or Probationer Judge who is on at least one
Judge List for any breed or variety which is included in that
class.
