Swan Nebula : Emission nebula. Very distinctive shape, however the 'neck' of the Swan was only visible with the use of the OIII filter. The 'body' is vaguely rectangular with sharply defined edges. The whole complex is surrounded in a very pale misty glow. | ![]() |
M18 : Open cluster.
Typical bright Messier cluster, but attractive all the same. Quite loose, medium in size.
M24 : Open cluster.
Listed in most catalogs as a cluster but is realy a huge beautiful Milky Way starfield. Extremely rich with stars, provides a glorius view.
M25 : Open cluster.
A very pretty cluster. Very large and loose yet with quite a compact centre. Bright
6567 : Planetary nebula.
Lies on very edge of M24 starfield. Stellar, glimpsed with OIII and averted vision.
