There is something like 100+ objects in the Virgo/Coma galaxy cluster that are visible in a typical 8" scope, however the vast majority are nothing more than small , faint, fuzzie smudges. So I have only highlighted some of the better examples. A list of the Mesier objects in Virgo can be found at the bottom of the page.
M86 : Galaxy M86 is the largest of a group of galaxies all visible in the field-of-view of a 25mm eyepiece. Although all the galaxies are relatively faint it makes quite a sight. A larger scope of about 12"+ will reveal even more galaxies in this field. |

4754 : Galaxy NGC4754 is small, faint and is a broad oval in shape, it contrasts well with its neighbour NGC4762 an edge on galaxy which appears only slightly fainter. |
