SkyMap Pro

The home of SkyMap Pro astronomy software. One of the best astronomy software packages on the planet. (In my opinion!)

AAVSO

The American Asscociation of Variable Star Observers website. Everything you could possibly want know about variable stars, includes a lightcurve generator.

BAAVSS

The BAA Variable Star Section. More variables, contains some interesting articles.

Astronomy Picture of the Day

A different astronomical image everyday with an explanation and plenty of relevent links to other sites.

The STScI Digitized Sky Survey

Enter the co-ordinates of the region you wish to look at and you will recieve an image (typically 10arcmin across) from the Palomar all sky survey. Slow but invaluable for checking out those suspect novae.

ALPO

The Asscociation of Lunar and Planetary Observers. Tons of interesting stuff about the moon and planets, lots of good links to other sites too.

The BAA Occultation alert site

Want to see a star occulted by an asteroid? Check this site for the latest news and ephemeris and then send in your observations. Refers to UK Only.

The Messier 100

A complete list of the Messier objects sorted by type has lots of information plus many amateur images.

The 150mm Reflector

A site similar to my own, but geared towards smaller telescopes. Well worth a look.

The Night Sight

A great amateur astronomy resource. Check it out.

Night Sky Info

Weekly news about the night sky and articles on selected astronomical topics.

Planetary Nebulae Observations

Possibly everything you could want know about these fascinating objects.
