Bryan & Brian's Community Pubs Mystery Tour
Two branch stalwarts are planning a trip round some of our more socially mixed hostelries. Details to follow nearer the time.

Saturday 11th
Train Trip to Lancaster and Preston
A tour of some of the Red Rose county town's top pubs - plus a rekke of Preston on the way back. Cheapest tickets involve a day return Chester to Frodsham and then a day return Frodsham to Lancaster. It saves you ££££s ! More details to follow nearer the time.

West Cheshire Beer Festival
To be held at Spitting Feathers brewery near Waverton. No further details as yet.

Llangollen Railway Rail & Ale Excursion
A double return journey to Carrog and back on a steam train serving a selection of Jolly Brewer real ales. £10 ticket per person. Advance purchase includes a free pint. For more details ring 01978 860979.

Great British Beer Festival
THE beer festival ! Held at Earl's Court in London and featuring 450 beers.

Ceiriog Valley Pub Tour
A sortie to Llanarmon DC, Glyn Ceiriog and Pontfadog before finishing at the Bridge End in Ruabon to present the Wrexham Beer of the Festival award to Matt McGivern.

Branch Meeting: Bridge Inn, Boughton
Start: 8.15pm.

Monday 24th - Monday 31st
Pub Beer Festival: Pied Bull, Chester
A week long event including cider. 

Friday 28th - Monday 31st
End of Summer Beer Festival: Bull, Shocklach
An event featuring 4% ABV or under ales.

Pub Beer Festival: Cock o'Barton, Barton
No further details of this event scheduled for the August Bank Holiday weekend.


SEPTEMBER 2009
Friday 11th / Saturday 12th
Tattenhall Beer Festival
Splendid little ticket-only event held at the Barbour Institute in the village. There's usual a free 'mopping up' session on the Sunday.

Sunday 13th
Special Presentation Award to Alan Frain
Meet at 1pm at the Bunbury Arms at Stoak to reward the landlord for achieving 25 appearances in the GBG (not solely at the Bunbury).

Thursday 17th
Branch Meeting: Bridge End, Ruabon
 
Friday 18th to Saturday 19th
Northwich Beer Festival
The 16th such event organised by local Rotary Clubs and CAMRA. It will be held at the Northwich Memorial Hall and have a Cornish ales theme.

A social based on this, as yet, undecided award.

Nantwich Beer Festival
Held at Nantwich Civic Hall as part of the town's food and drink festival.

1st Kelsall Beer Festival
To be held at Kelsall Community Centre (next to the social club) and featuring approximately 22 beers (some new!) plus cider. Open 5pm to midnight. Admission £5 with proceeds to the local primary school and church.

3rd Chester Autumn Beer Festival
