Welcome to this site, which has been set up to help complete the identification of all those pupils who appear in the Panorama photograph which was taken at the school in April 1957. This has been linked to School List for the year September 1956 to July 1957 which includes details of Prefects, School Officers and important dates (Click on TEACHERS below to access this information)
For ease of loading, the photograph has been split into six sections. To get you started click on Panorama 02 and follow the instructions there.
Every pupil has been numbered and provision made for each one on the Panorama photograph to be linked to an up-to-date photograph and autobiography. Clicking on the face will take you to this information although, at present, it is mostly limited to the Lower V year who have held a number of reunions in recent years. If you want to see the format click on LOWER V below and scroll down the list. The names are listed as per the September 1956 to July 1957 School List.
If you are able to identify any of the faces, add christian names, think some of the details are wrong or wish to contribute a modern photograph and / or autobiography please Email me. As a guide my autobiography is about 100 words long but anything up to 250 words is fine.

Note: Excluding teachers there are 508 pupils on the School List but only 464 in the photograph. Does anyone remember an influenza outbreak around April 1957? There are also a few who are in the photograph but not on the list.
The Class of 53
A lot of research has been undertaken to find many old friends who joined Hardye's in 1953 (the Lower V's in the School list). To date 59 of the 76 on the list have been traced together with a number of others from the classes above and below. In conjunction with this research Graham Allen has set up an excellent website Graham Allen's Website containing many old school photographs and recent reunion snaps of the Class of 53.
