The Earl Sterndale Hike was an 11km circular hike from the Quiet Woman at Earl Sterndale (the female leaders did not see the funny side of the pub sign .. everyone else did!).

The outlook for the day had threatened rain, but that had all fallen over night. The day was fine, dry but with a cool wind. The overnight rain had left parts of the walk very wet and boggy. Some of us nearly lost boots along the treacherous Hollinsclough Rake section.

Unfortunately there was a problem with camera batteries, so I only managed two photos:
