It was cold and as we got ready to start the hike the rain started - it was wet ... very wet!

But the scouts are made of sterner stuff, and we started out on our 7½mile hike. We started from Poole's Cavern car park and set out for a hike over Harpur Hill, Brandside to Dove Head and back via Ladmanlow and Grinlow.

Its is a sort of figure of eight circuit. If we were to do it again it is probably easier to navigate doing the figure of eight and walking to Dove Head and then on to Brandside (i.e. doing the grey part of the route above in the reverse order).
