Several of the Scouts and Explorers have tried the assault course during the week. But the daily magazine reports one team with a much better time. This means that the day's challenge is to go faster around the adventure course. Latter we get recycling beer-bottles (the leaders claim the beer is purely medicinal) to make a bottle xylophone. News of our creation spreads rapidly and BBC East Midlands Today comes to film us (check out their Peak 2010 news item and their "In Pictures" photo galleries). In the evening the Taiga Sub-camp go to our camp-fire and we don't get to sing Crazy Moose.
