Barnswood Scout Camp site is located between Leek and Macclesfield off the main road, near Rudyard Lake.

The expedition hike started on Friday evening, when the Scouts arrived to camp at Barnswood. The following morning (after a lot of rain in the evening and night) the Scouts packed their wet tents, packed their rucsacs and started the hike across to Gradbach.

The hike was 10.5km, and as you can see we did climb up quite a way, and the scouts all had big rucsacs to carry.

What was at 7.94km?

Sunday was remembrance Sunday (13th November), so the Scouts on the hike had a service at Gradbach. Other Scouts represented the troop at the Harpur Hill remembrance day service
