months wondering what I could do with the pile of Hawkwind
material accumulating in a room I lived in at the time.
Acquiring an old style typewriter, work began on
Hawkeye # 1, a simple cut and paste job that numbed the fingers
for weeks. Issue One finally appeared mid–February 1994.
The second issue was a vast improvement on the first, compiled
using an electronic typewriter and published in June.
Each subsequent issue grew steadily better, with more
artwork and aided by growing feedback that gave me the
enthusiasm to keep it all going.
Since then, Hawkeye has been published roughly twice a year,
until work on the Hawkwind book hijacked all my spare time.

There's been eight issues to date, plus two related publications.
The first based around Hawkwind's live performances, while the
second took a detailed look at the worldwide CD, vinyl and video
releases by Hawkwind and the many spin-off bands & solo projects.
