Hay Farm enjoys an elevated position giving spectacular panoramic views over the surrounding countryside. To the south the mystical Cheviot Hills, a walkers paradise on the edge of the Northumberland National Park and to the west over the Scottish borders with the Eildon Hills in the distance.

Explore the dramatic coastline with its golden sandy beaches, secluded bays and fascinating wildlife. Northumberland  can boast more castles than any other county in the UK so don't miss the magnificent Bamburgh Castle ancient seat of the kings of Northumbria,  Alnwick Castle & Gardens, the  dramatic ruin of Dunstanburgh on the craggy headland close to the quaint little fishing village of Craster. Take a trip to the Farne Islands from Seahouses or cross the causeway at low tide to the beautiful  Holy island of Lindisfarne. There are  fine houses, castles and gardens  in the borders of Scotland too; Floors, Thirlestane, Paxton to name a few.
