Welcome to the website for the British Orienteering Federation Map Advisory Group. The aim of this site is to keep BOF members informed of the Map Group's activities and to offer support to individuals and clubs on all aspects of mapping.

What's on the Website

This website contains news of the British Orienteering Federation Map Group's activities including standards for producing Orienteering maps, information on workgroups, conferences and the latest discussions on mapping.  Copies of the BOF mapping newsletter MapN&V can be downloaded from the website.

How to use the Website

At the top of the page you will find the main navigation bar. From here you can select which subject you wish to view, such as News or Minutes.  Some of the items are broken up into sections - a sub-menu will open up for these items.  Standards, guides, and Ocad files are available for download in various formats.

All links to external websites, such as an individuals website, are opened in a separate browser window.

If you get lost or want to find a page quickly then you can use the site map to locate the page you want.  This page lists, and has links to most of the pages on this website.

This website is viewable at resolutions of 800 x 600 pixels and above, although it's been designed to look its best at 1024 x 768 pixels.  These web pages been tested in most modern browsers including: Internet Explorer (versions 4 to 6), Opera (versions 5 to 8), Mozilla (Windows and Linux), Firefox and Netscape Navigator (versions 4 to 8), and is viewable in all of these.
