One of my first violas - I love the unusual dusky blue medium-sized flowers which have a pronounced splash of deep gold on the lower petals and appear from late spring until well into the autumn.
The medium sized elongated flowers (40 x 30 mm) have a very smart colour combination of violet-blue upper petals (the middle two heavily rayed) and a gold lower petal with rich veining. A neat, compact and attractive plant that is weather resistant but less free-flowering than some. Possibly raised in Ireland? Additional words & pictures by Peter Wilde |
