Viola 'Beshlie'

viola 'Beshlie' Pale yellow long-stemmed flowers of medium size with a marvellous strong scent said to resemble cowslips. Vigorous and floriferous. The superb yellow colour deepens from top to bottom of the flower. Looks bright without appearing bold but may need protection from wind blow. Found and named after the author and illustrator who, with her husband, lived the gypsy way all her adult life.

Here in Scotland, our plants often show a lovely slate-blue band across the top petals which is not usually seen in the warmer South.

RHS Award of Garden Merit.
