Here are some links to important websites, including shops, other clubs and governing bodies
Organisations
GNAS, The Grand National Archery Society, this is the main governing body
for archery, you need to be registered with them to qualify for insurance and be licenced to carry a bow. You
can also find information about the sport, the rules and local clubs.
FITA, Federation Internationale De Tir A L'arc, another governing body
for archery, they also make the official target faces.
YAA, the Yorkshire Archery Association, has
details of all affiliatd clubs in Yorkshire.
Shops
CBA, Cusom Built Archery, a very good shop based in Eakring, Nottinghamshire,
the staff are friendly, the prices are good and the service is fantastic.
Bickerstaffe Bows, Mr Bickerstaffe is commonly regarded as
the best longbow maker in my club and, I imagine, others too.
Quicks, Another good archery shop for accessories.
KG Archery, Based near Custom Built this is a good shop to visit at the
same time for anything else you need.
Merlin Archery Centre, Good mail order service and not far away if you
prefer to visit.
