In the event of any children whilst in my care falling ill my policy is that parents will be contacted and arrangements made for the child/children to be collected.  This is because as a childminder I cannot be expected to look after a poorly child whilst taking care of other children in my care.  A fee is still payable for that day.
 

If a child is poorly before a scheduled session, parents must make alternative arrangements for that child to be looked after, as again I cannot be expected to look after a poorly child whilst taking care of other children in my care.  A fee is still payable for that day.
 

In the event of my own children's illness, all parents will be contacted prior to the scheduled session and they can make the decision whether they want to bring their child/children, if they decide they don’t want to bring their child/children a fee is payable at a reduced rate of 50%.
 

In the event of my illness all parents will be contacted and I will try to make alternative arrangements with another REGISTERED CHILDMINDER who is known to the child/children.  If I can’t make suitable arrangements then I will add a ‘FEE FREE DAY’ to their account.  If alternative arrangements are made through another childminder, a fee is payable to them for their service.
