BIOGRAPHY
Biography,
I first got interested in Radio Control models when I bought a Kyosho Inferno buggy to race around the local woods. Got fed up with it as each time after I used it, I had to strip & rebuild it to clean all of the mud out of the bearings, and managed to get moaned at about the noise it made by people walking their dogs. I also had a brief go on a plane, but was put off because all of the club members seemed to be over 65!
My real passion was to have a go at flying helicopters, despite everyone saying they were really difficult to fly. I bit the bullet, and bought a secondhand Raptor 30 on E-bay, and luckily got quite a good deal. Once I got the heli, I was asking all kinds of questions on Runryder, and one was answered by Daren. After a couple of mail exchanges I met Daren (along with Andy B & Andy R) at the flying field. I took my heli with the intention of asking Daren to have a look over it. By the end of the day, the guys had given me some fuel, checked over and set up the heli, and even lent me a TX so I could have my first attempt at hovering. Oh and by the way, in case you are wondering it as difficult to fly as everyone says!!
Check back here often to see how I am progressing, and I'm sure in no time at all I'll be telling you about my first crash!
