Mike Lang Hall has been a professional archaeologist since 1972. He has worked in local government, the water industry, and private practice. He is a Member of the Institute of Field Archaeologists, and the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management, and a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London. He is an experienced lecturer and broadcaster, and the author of numerous articles in books and journals. His practical experience includes highway and housing development schemes, mineral extraction, pipeline and reservoir construction, and river and coastal engineering.
