Forward to August |
|
Another untypically wet month which, combined with generally warm weather, created excellent growing conditions. We have been eating loads of fresh veg every day, including green and yellow courgettes, green beans, carrots, broccoli, lettuces, beetroot and cabbages. |

|
Even more healthy growth in the roots and three sisters beds. |

The first squash. |

Unfortunately the tomatoes have not thrived, even though the remaining plants looked healthy when planted out. Only the plants from the last type of seeds to be grown (tomato “Tumbler”) look remotely healthy, and that could be because they haven’t developed the lurgi which the others have got.
