Back to Sunny Florida for another well earned rest. In the hotel pool this time its the Spartan Synchronized Swimming Team.

Kev Danks spent all night trying to catch this Yellowtail. Still it was on the menu for breakfast in the morning. Mick Holyoak, Kev Danks, Russ Chiltern, Brum Lowbridge.

This is me alongside in Port Canaveral with the huge fish I caught. (You should have seen the one that got away). The fishing was excellent once the American's explained the correct technique for catching the fish in the area. Plenty of fish for breakfast again. But we did loose a few to the Pelicans that used to swoop down and take the fish off the hook as we reeled them in.

Left ashore again in Cocoa Beach for two weeks. The Spartan had gone back to the AUTEC range in the Bahamas taking some American's with her. So unfortunately a dozen of us had to endure the agony of being left behind at the Holiday Inn. Yes!!!.Seen here at the Kennedy Space Centre just before a shuttle launch. We had just come from an all night session at Mr. T's nightspot which was situated an hours drive down the coast. L to R. Biffo Smith, Duggy Singleton, Cally, Pet and Roy 'Kamie' Kamis.

Lift off, we were situated 3 miles away in the VIP arena. And our trousers VIBRATED with the noise of the launch.

Florrie Ford (The old man of the sea), Myself , and Buck Rogers out in Union Street in 1985. In background on left Lt Bruce Hunter and Taff Rees. Florrie and I both left the Navy within a few weeks of each other and on Spartan's return to UK from America. A farewell piss-up was organised around Plymouth. Great night out, as most of the crew turned up with their wives and girlfriends.

Same night out, a couple of hours later. Teresa tried to keep up with the big boys but failed. L to R. Florrie Ford, Chief Stoker Taff Rees, Teresa, Pet Downton.
