Welcome
to the new Hoggleys Brewery
website. The site is brand new and will
develop as time goes by. If any
one has any comments about the site or of course
the beer please let us know, there is a comments
section especially for this.
Hoggleys brewery is fairly new, being established in 2003, and we are
keen to
brew the the finest beer that we can, a
significant part of this development is
feedback (good or bad) from our customers.
Back in 2003 when the brewery first went commercial, it was largely
regarded
as the smallest licenced brewery in Britain, this is
no longer the case, partly because
we have
expanded from our original half barrel run to a colossal one and a half
barrel plant! At this capacity
the brewery is
running at its maximum. It is the
intention to expand and
this will necessitate
moving out of the purpose built shed
at the bottom of the garden into other premises. For
the time being the brewery
remains part time and brewer Roy Crutchley still
keeps his day job, however the
vision is
still
alive and kicking and the steep learning curve encountered over
the last two or three years continues (Sometimes it
gets steeper!).
Because the brewery is so small not all beers are
available all of the time and to
ensure that we can supply
you it is always best to pre order unless its for a bottle or
two. It is
always good idea to check what we have in stock and of course if you
require
a one off special this is also
possible. Most of our beers go out in nine gallon casks but
we are producing an
increasing amount in bottles and polypins .
When there are new beers being brewed or if there
are changes within the brewery
we will update the site to keep you readily
informed; enjoy the site and even more
importantly enjoy our beers.
