St. Catherine's was officially closed on 31st. August, 2002.

The School was originally opened in 1960 as a Catholic Girls Secondary School but in 1969 it became a mixed middle school when the London Borough of Merton reorganised into a three tier system. When Merton again decided to reorganise back into a two tier system it was sadly decided, by the Diocese, to sell off St. Catherine's to finance new building works at the Catholic Primary schools in the Borough.

For the next few years, the buildings and grounds are to be an annex of Wimbledon College - The Campion Centre, before the building is eventually sold and demolished.

To those of you who studied or worked there, I hope these pages bring back some happy memories.
