OUR NEW SECRETARY

At the 2006 Annual General Meeting the usual scramble for Committee jobs (yeah?) resulted in a change of post.

Not just any post, you understand, but that of Secretary of the Society.

Wendy had been 'reluctantly persuaded' at the 2005 AGM to carry on for another year but this time her 'stand down' is to be permanent. So that left a gaping hole in the Committee line up.

Fortunately, it was not long before help was at hand in the shape of Peter Quested.

Although only a recent member of the Society, Peter has already made his mark on proceedings by (along with Hanne) taking the Breeder of the Year Trophy. Luckily, he is also well-used to Committee work having been both Secretary and Treasurer for his local cricket team. He therefore appears to Wendy's welcome successor and we wish him well in his new appointment.

That just leaves the Society with the Show Manger post to fill for the coming year. You never know, someone might get all excited and the forthcoming Christmas Party and actually volunteer!
