Linton-on-Ouse
Situated north of the village of Linton-on-Ouse and the A168, (A1-A19 link), Linton-on-Ouse was one of the earlier airfields and opened in May 1937. Built to the standard 3-runway bomber airfield pattern, it consisted of 5 'C' Type hangers, with the technical and accomodation sites to the south-east of the airfield.

November 1945 - July 1946 --- 1665 (Transport) Squadron

After the war, Linton-on Ouse was transferred to Fighter Command, and in October 1949 it began receiving it's first jets. Today, the airfield is in constant use, mainly as a training base, and many of the original, (all though renovated), buildings still remain.
