Installation Instructions

 

  1. Download the software.
  2. Unzip the contents of the zip file into a temporary directory.

For Mark 1 Units:

  1. Connect a serial cable between the debug port on the 150 and a suitable port on the PC.
  2. While holding down the program enable button on the mother board; reset the unit. After 2 seconds release the program enable button.
  3. If you are not using COM1 port you will need to edit the batch file 'prog.bat' and change the line @Flashldr.exe init com1 baud=57.6k to reflect the port you wish to use.
  4. On the PC, using the DOS prompt function select the directory where the firmware was unzipped.
  5. Type 'prog.bat' and Return. The screen should report that the processor has been initialise. If it fails to do so exit the programme by typing 'exit' Return and run prog.bat again.
  6. Type rom and Return. The screen should report the progress of the upload.
  7. When the upload has finished, type 'sh' Return and then 'exit' Return. Reset the unit, the PC should show the 150 booting.
  8. Disconnect the cable and reboot the 150 again.

For mark 2 units:

  1. Remove the top of the unit
  2. Locate and remove the CF card, it's plugged into the processor card which is on the main board, just pull it out and slide it past the support pillar.
  3. Backup the original HSG150B.EXE file on the CF card just in case this file got corrupted.
  4. Copy the new HSG150B.EXE file onto the CF card.
  5. Replace the CF card in the processor, be careful to align the card in the socket correctly.
  6. Boot the system and check it function correctly.

Version History

Version 2.h.3:

  • Corrected problem with resend messages when unit is slaved to a master.
  • Improved fire routines when in slave mode so that the fire deviation is reduced.
  • Modified the way that data is transmitted to the master so that repeat messages are reduced.
  • Add facility to transmit external data over the radio system. This is a transparent conduit that does not affect the operation of the system. The terminator character must be known and entered into the system so that the end each message can be recognised

Version 2.g.1:

  • Corrected problem with Search Delay. This version requires MiniPulse 2.a.5.

Version 2.f.1:

  • Added FM transducer (depth/pressure) capture.
  • Improved sign on of MiniPulse to local slave.

Version 2.e.1:

  • Modified to allow Depth alarm.
  • Corrected gun sensor display.

Version 2.d.1:

  • Depth and pressure transducers are now objected so that any channel can be a depth or pressure. Also, each channel has its own offset value.

Version 2.b.1:

  • Enhanced telemetry collision avoidance routine.
  • Changed transmit routine so that all slave units other than active slave are quiet during fire period.

Version 2,a.1:

  • First working release of HP150.
  • Enhanced telemetry flow control and inter-unit messaging.
  • Added pseudo sensor and depth information for test purposes.

Version 1.a.1:

  • First public release of HP150.
