Northern Womens Track and Field League 5th MayEighteen Richmond and Zetland Harriers competed in the opening fixture in Division 3E of the Northern Womens Track and Field League on Sunday 5th at Clairville Stadium, Middlesbrough.The format has 16 events for Seniors and 10 events each for under 17s and under 15s, each with A and B strings, plus 4 relays. Athletes are allowed to compete "up an age group" in certain events and Team Manager, Fiona Hughes had a lot of decision-making to do on top of competing herself. Asking first-year under 17s to compete against Seniors in the 3000m is always a big step but Becky Robinson and Amy Baines both produced the goods.RZH Results: under 15s - Jo Adams (u13) 2nd 800m B 2:49.4, 2nd high jump 1m20 & 5th discus 10m85; Sophie Broadway (u13) 1st 100m B 14.4 & 4th 200m 29.9; Jade Cawthray 4th discus B 9m28 & 4th 1500m 5:29.5; Jessica Gray (u13) 3rd 200m 31.7; Scarlett Gray 5th long jump 3m47 & 2nd 1500m B 5:59.7; Ashleigh Robinson 5th 800m 2:7.9 & 4th shot putt 6m63; Georgina Zissler 2nd 100m 13.4, 1st shot putt B 5m46 & 2nd 75m hurdles 15.1: under 17s - Amy Baines 3rd in Senior 3000m 12:35.0, 3rd 200m 30.0 & 3rd shot putt 5m76; Lianne Broadfoot 6th 800m 2:49.9, 3rd 100m B 16.1 & 2nd high jump B 1m20; Stephanie Goodall 2nd 300m hurdles 54.4, 1st 300m 47.4 and 3rd high jump 1m30; Emma Metcalfe 4th long jump 4m58, 5th 80m hurdles 15.1 & 3rd in Senior triple jump 8m96; Sadie Potter 3rd 800m B 2:54.9 & 4th 100m 16.6; Becky Robinson 1st 300m hurdles B 57.9, 2nd long jump B 4m17 & 1st in Senior 3000m B 12:09.4: Seniors - Kylie Martrab (u20) 3rd 100m 13.5, 2nd 100m hurdles 21.4, 3rd long jump 4m32, 5th 200m 28.5 & 4th javelin 18m36; Orla Fowden (u20) 2nd discus B 13m85, 3rd 100m B 14.8, 3rd shot putt B 5m18, 3rd long jump B 3m68 & 5th 200m B 33.0; Fiona Hughes 3rd 400m hurdles 85.6, 5th 800m 2:38.0, 5th 400m 88.1, 2nd 100m hurdles 22.8 & 4th 1500m 6:27.6; Sharon Powell 4th hammer 20m89, 2nd discus 22m06, 4th shot putt 6m17 & 2nd javelin B 16m73.
