County Track & Field Championships 14th -15th May 2005 - Gateshead
The County T&F Championships were held over the weekend Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th and the Club came home with one first and two third place medals. The North East Counties held their Championships at the International Stadium, Gateshead and Nick Outhwaite, the only Harrier taking part, took first in the Under 17 Men’s pole vault with a clearance of 2m40. There were ten Harriers at the Dorothy Hyman Stadium, Cudworth, competing in the Yorkshires; Leanne Shaw finished third in the long jump (from an initial field of 22) with a PB 4m76 and Matt Prosser did similarly with a PB 61.6 in the 400m hurdles.

Ripon 10 Mile Race 15th May 2005
Also on Sunday there was the first race in the Black Sheep Brewery Race Series, the Ripon 10 mile Road Race and the Harriers had two runners toe the line. Rachel Ross Russell made her comeback from injury and finished 1st Female, 15th overall, in 63:45 and Paul Scott finished 66th in 71:30 out of 276 finishers.
